About Us
Following the success of Stonehouse Veterinary Practice, we are very proud to open another independent small animal veterinary practice. We are located in Breadstone and will serve the nearby towns of Berkeley, Cam, Dursley, Slimbridge, Frampton-on-Severn and all other surrounding villages. Our vet Nicki, has nearly 30 years of veterinary expertise and will be the clinical lead and partner of the practice. Nicki has gained a vast amount of knowledge over the years and offers a high standard of care and a wide range of medical, dental, and surgical services. We know how important your pet is and take great pride in the quality of our consultations. We endeavour to listen, to be approachable, and treat every pet as if they were our own. Rest assured you and your pet are in great hands.

-
We have chosen high quality products:
-
Our products not only cover fleas and worms, but they also include treatment against ticks
-
We use products that we believe have little or no evidence of flea resistance
-
We use oral treatments in dogs to minimise impact on environmental contamination
-
We use topical treatments in cats to minimise stress of administration, as we know how difficult administering tablets can be

Meet the Team
Dr Nicola Peters

I graduated with a BSc in Medical Biochemistry from Birmingham University in 1993 and went on to qualify from University of Glasgow Veterinary School in 1997.
I initially worked in Devon for six years doing mixed practice before concentrating on small animal practice. I moved to Stroud in 2004 to work in a local veterinary hospital and worked there for fifteen years. Following a few years working at a busy practice in Gloucester I joined Stonehouse Veterinary Practice. I will be the clinical lead and one of the partners of Breadstone Veterinary Practice. I am extremely excited to start this new venture.
I enjoy all aspects of veterinary work, including consultations, medicine, surgery and dentistry.
My free time is spent with my family and friends. I enjoy playing music, running and being a taxi service for my children! We have two dogs, Jet and Lily and a cute cat called Toffee.

Dr Jyoti Udas

I qualified as a veterinary surgeon from the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies in
Edinburgh in the summer of 2022. During my time in Edinburgh, I spent two years
completing a degree in Medical Sciences before going on to pursue my real dream of
becoming a vet and completing the five year veterinary surgeon degree course.
I always knew I wanted to work with companion animals and after graduating, I spent two
years working for an independent small animal veterinary practice in Swindon. I really
enjoyed my time there and developed great relationships with a lot of the clients and their
lovely animals.
I joined the team at Stonehouse Veterinary Practice in May 2024 and I feel privileged to
have become a member of such a caring, knowledgeable and passionate team. I am very
passionate about providing the best care I can for my clients and the animals under my care.
My particular interests lie in internal medicine and veterinary dentistry.
I am originally from Bristol but now live in Stroud with my partner, after falling in love with
the glorious Cotswold countryside which is where he is from. We share our home with
Henry, our very handsome and cheeky ragdoll cat. Outside of work, I enjoy doing yoga,
drawing and spending time outdoors going for walks or gardening.
