About Us
Building on the success of Stonehouse Veterinary Practice, we’re excited to launch a new independent small animal clinic in Breadstone. We proudly serve pets from Berkeley, Cam, Dursley, Slimbridge, Frampton-on-Severn, and surrounding villages. Our clinical lead and partner, vet Nicki, brings almost 30 years of experience, delivering expert medical, dental, and surgical care. We understand how much your pet means to you, so we focus on providing attentive, compassionate consultations—treating every animal as if they were our own. You can trust that your pet is in capable and caring hands.
Meet the Team
Dr Nicola Peters

I graduated with a BSc in Medical Biochemistry from Birmingham University in 1993 and went on to qualify from University of Glasgow Veterinary School in 1997.
I initially worked in Devon for six years doing mixed practice before concentrating on small animal practice. I moved to Stroud in 2004 to work in a local veterinary hospital and worked there for fifteen years. Following a few years working at a busy practice in Gloucester I joined Stonehouse Veterinary Practice. I will be the clinical lead and one of the partners of Breadstone Veterinary Practice. I am extremely excited to start this new venture.
I enjoy all aspects of veterinary work, including consultations, medicine, surgery and dentistry.
My free time is spent with my family and friends. I enjoy playing music, running and being a taxi service for my children! We have two dogs, Jet and Lily and a cute cat called Toffee.

Dr Jyoti Udas

I qualified as a veterinary surgeon from the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies in
Edinburgh in the summer of 2022. During my time in Edinburgh, I spent two years
completing a degree in Medical Sciences before going on to pursue my real dream of
becoming a vet and completing the five year veterinary surgeon degree course.
I always knew I wanted to work with companion animals and after graduating, I spent two
years working for an independent small animal veterinary practice in Swindon. I really
enjoyed my time there and developed great relationships with a lot of the clients and their
lovely animals.
I joined the team at Stonehouse Veterinary Practice in May 2024 and I feel privileged to
have become a member of such a caring, knowledgeable and passionate team. I am very
passionate about providing the best care I can for my clients and the animals under my care.
My particular interests lie in internal medicine and veterinary dentistry.
I am originally from Bristol but now live in Stroud with my partner, after falling in love with
the glorious Cotswold countryside which is where he is from. We share our home with
Henry, our very handsome and cheeky ragdoll cat. Outside of work, I enjoy doing yoga,
drawing and spending time outdoors going for walks or gardening.
